ATD Announces Summer for Heroes Giving Campaign to Further Support the Gary Sinise Foundation
American Tire Distributors (ATD) is proud to once again partner with the Gary Sinise Foundation, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to serve our nation by honoring our defenders, veterans, first responders, their families, and those in need.
The Summer for Heroes Giving Campaign will kick off Memorial Day, Monday, May 31, and run through Patriot Day, Monday, September 11. The campaign is the first time that ATD has partnered with customers to rally the industry and help raise funds in support of the Gary Sinise Foundation.
“We’re thrilled to support our nation’s heroes in partnership with our customers,” said Stuart Schuette, President and CEO of ATD. “Together, we can make a greater impact and continue to show our appreciation for deserving military, veterans, first responders and their families through the Gary Sinise Foundation.”
ATD’s goal is to raise $500,000 through online donations. 100 percent of all funds raised will benefit two Gary Sinise Foundation programs that ATD directly supports:
- Relief and Resiliency, this program aims to ensure our defenders and their families stay strong through hardships by offering complete support in times of need. These programmatic initiatives help our nation’s heroes and their families find the strength to persevere and heal.
-
First Responders Outreach, this program provides funding for essential equipment, PPE, emergency relief, and training to ensure our first responders are able to perform to the best of their abilities. The Foundation also helps those severely wounded in the line of duty by building 100% mortgage-free specially adapted smart homes and providing home modifications, mobility devices, and adapted vehicles.
“This past year has been unlike any other. The uncertainty of each day led us to grow and adapt as a nation,” said Elizabeth A. Fields, Chief Operating Officer at the Gary Sinise Foundation. “Through it all, our military and first responders were on the frontlines risking their lives. On behalf of everyone at the Gary Sinise Foundation, we are incredibly grateful for our partnership with American Tire Distributors and for their support of our nation’s heroes and their families.”
