ATD Named 2021 Green Supply Chain Award Recipient by Supply & Demand Chain Executive
This award recognizes companies that prioritize sustainability to be a core part of its supply chain strategy.
American Tire Distributors (ATD) today announced it has been named a 2021 Green Supply Chain award recipient by Supply & Demand Chain Executive. The award recognizes companies that prioritize sustainability as core to their supply chain strategy.
The award announcement follows the publication of ATD’s first ESG Report, which outlines the company’s environmental and social goals, and details a long-term commitment to sustainability.
“We are honored to be recognized as a leader in sustainable supply chain strategy,” says Mark Chandler, Senior Vice President of ATD’s Global Supply Chain. “We’ve been focused on the concept of sustainability and aim to deliver value to the environment not only through our supply chain strategy, but across all of our organization’s practices.”
Among many goals related to sustainability, ATD aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions throughout the global supply chain by forming more efficient logistical partnerships with manufacturers and partners, maximizing loads to reduce the number of trucks on the road and exploring effective tire recycling programs.
