ATD Introduces New Distribution Center in Louisville
American Tire Distributors, Inc. (ATD) celebrated the grand opening of its new Louisville distribution center (DC) with a ribbon-cutting ceremony yesterday. ATD has been operating in the Louisville market for more than 35 years and, with the opening of this new building, will continue demonstrating its long-term commitment to tire and auto service providers.
Located at 5100 Jeff Commerce Dr. Suite 101 Louisville, KY 40219, the new DC is optimized with energy-saving lights, an improved customer pick-up area, new equipment and enhanced safety features for more efficient operations. It will employ approximately 45 associates and serve dealers in 53 counties from Bloomington, Indiana to Leitchfield, Kentucky, and from Evansville, Indiana to Richmond, Kentucky.
“After 22 years in our previous Louisville location, we are excited to introduce the community to our new home,” said Stuart Schuette, President and CEO. “This DC is bigger and newer than our previous location, allowing us to better service our customers across the Commonwealth and southern Indiana.”
The ribbon-cutting event welcomed the Louisville community into the new facility with opening remarks from Schuette, a tour to highlight the building’s sustainability and safety improvements and reception following the event. A representative from Louisville mayor Craig Greenburg’s office, the Greater Louisville Inc. Metro Chamber of Commerce and the Councilwoman for District 21 were in attendance.
“Louisville has been an important part of the ATD network for more than three decades,” said Schuette. “As we move into this new chapter, we are excited for the future of our relationship with the community.”
